From the Manufacturer
MBT shoes are physiological footwear--the first footwear that has a positive effect on the entire body. MBT stands for "Masai Barefoot Technology." Their innovative design includes a multi-layered, curved sole which makes for a unique and rewarding walking experience. The key to MBT is its patented sole structure. The shank, PU midsole with Pivot and the Masai Sensor create a soft surface that is akin to walking barefoot on springy moss or on a sandy beach. This creates a natural instability underfoot, which activates the supporting muscle system and has positive effects on the entire body. Wearing MBTs significantly improves your gait and posture and relieves pressure on your joints and back. It also exercises a large number of muscles, whether you’re walking or standing. This, in turn, stimulates your metabolism, burns extra calories and speeds up muscle regeneration. In addition, MBTs can have a firming effect on abdominal, leg and buttock muscles. Wearing MBT shoes can also be a therapeutic tool for back, hip, leg and foot problems. At MBT they don't believe in shoes. They believe in footwear that makes you better from the ground up.

My wife bought this type of shoe about a year ago a swears they are the most comfortable shoe she had ever worn. I am trying to lose weight (not easy in your 50) and the doctor told me to add walking 3-4 days a week. I started in my regular NB sneakers and while ok my knees and hips seemed to hurt more. At first I thought it was just the exercise but it didn't get better. I then tried another brand of shoe and they were worse. All this time listening to don't waste your money, buy a pair of MBT so I gave in. Luckly I found a good price on Amazon so I skeptically ordered. GLAD I did. After about a week of breaking them in (getting used to the new muscles you use really) I am now walking a couple of miles a day, no pain, and best of all I feel better and the doctor is happy. With help from eating better and the exercise in 7 weeks I have lost 18 of the 50+ I need to lose. The only negative, they are not the most stylish looking but for comfort and exercise I give them an A+.

Okay, so I readily want to leave feedback for these. I am a nurse and I stay on my feet for 10 out of the 12 hours and I have to say that only after two nights of working, I can honestly say I love these shoes. I know they are men's but they look the best and match my scrubs. At first, they felt like something between being a little buzzed from a drink and walking on sand, but after a couple of hours, I adjusted. In the mornings after I got off, I noticed my legs were not hurting, especially my knees. I have a little more energy in my step than with my previous shoes (Shox, Saucony, and ZigFuel). I don't know if they Amazon will allow me to post another review after a month or so, but if I can, I will and provide a high mileage review.
Update:
I forgot I purchased these shoses on Amazon and forgot after the month as promised to post, sorry. I was reviewing other things and saw them. I stopped wearing these shoes about 5 months after I purchased them because they began to hurt my ankles. At first they were great but then I started noticing my ankles were hurting after wearing them. I didnt think it was the shoes because they didn't hurt immediately,so I kept on. Then I said, just let me wear something else for a week and see if I still had the problem and then my ankles stopped hurting. Also, the MBT decal came off the shoes which I thought was really weird..almost as if they were fake. I hope I didn't get fake shoes especially since I paid full price at the time of purchase. Looks like they are cheaper now.
